Please note: Both ArmA2 and Operation Arrowhead (Combined Operations) are required to use CWR²!

Quick Install Instructions:
1) Remove all previous CWR² content (if present)
2) Download and install CWR² v1.7
3) Download and install the optional content if wanted

To install CWR², just open the distribution .rar files and copy the included folder called @CWR2_V17 to where you have installed your ArmA2. A very simple task everyone should be able to do when he knows how to switch on a computer. 😉
There should be no question to overwrite files when extracting/copying the files. If there are any, you did something wrong.

Below links are the only official CWR² Download Mirrors. We can not guarantee that Downloads from other sources than the ones below are up to date or genuine.

Read this:
You are NOT allowed to port this Mod (or parts of it) to ArmA 3!
We do not make exceptions, so don’t even bother to ask!

Merci pour toutes ces années passées à élaborer avec beaucoup de passion ce mod CWR² v1.5 , en toute théorie la dernière .

    Une fois de plus Merci

Thank you for all these years spent developing with passion the mod CWR² v1.5, in theory the last.

    Once again Thanks

Thank You for all your hard work and dedication over the years, this has and always will be my favorite MOD. I will miss all the little updates, and strides towards perfection. But to be honest you and the rest of the team hit that mark years ago. So again thank you, Happy Holidays, and God bless.

Many thanks for the best Chrismas Gift i received. May i donate some money for the running costs, etc?

    Hi Wolle,

great Mod! I startet to play the CWR 1985 Campaign and had a lot of thilling moments.

Now with the new release I tried the BW exoansion and I identified maybe a bug: In the tank as commander the optic is fixed on the position that I had as I looked through the hatch.

I too would have donated. An absolutely amazing job and respect to all the guys involved, cwr2 missions included. Takes me back to when i first played flashpoint on release back in the day. Respect to you all, with thanks and appreciation. And thanks for bringing back such fond memories 😉

Was the ‘Fallen Warriors Edition’ part of the hack or can it be used without concern?

    • W0lle on February 11, 2017 at 16:01 said:

The files are safe, only WordPress has been hijacked and one post has been killed.
If in doubt, get the files from Google or MEGA instead.

Update: To be 100% on the safe side, I have removed the downloads for the Terrains and main Modification and replaced them with my local copies.

Hi could you do some patch with Czech language? The game is originaly from czech republic and i miss czech lang. soo much 🙁 I have original files with cz.language. Thank you for best mode!

    • W0lle on March 9, 2017 at 13:50 said:

No. First because any localization would require months of work because there are no stringtables used except in missions. Second, there will be no further development or patches for CWR².

Hi W0lle, I just want to say a big ‘thank you’ for all of your hard work in carrying on with this massive project, alone, for as long as you have done. I’d say it’s a shame that there will be no further development for CWR² but there is no need. You’ve added loads of new content to this and most of us appreciate that without demanding more. This is a whole edition of Arma within it’s self rather than a mod.
All I’d ask of you is how the ‘plateInfos’ thing on the civ cars works? I’ve been trying to add them to other custom car packs but still blank (obvs. ONLY for personal use, I’d never share without permission from author). I’d assume it’s hard written and impossible without source files? If so I’ll stop chasing rainbows haha
Good luck in everything else you do, and thanks again

    • W0lle on May 14, 2017 at 01:09 said:

The license plates on the cars are indeed ‘hard coded’ as they models require a named selection called ‘spz’ where the plate is located at. The game then assigns random plates based on information stored in the terrain configs.

Hey I just wanna ask, What’s new with the version 1.5.1? I already have 1.5.0 I don’t know if that update is really required.

    • W0lle on May 14, 2017 at 01:04 said:

Actually nothing at all. It’s just called 1.5.1 because of a small screw-up when providing the files to armaholic. Foxhound wasn’t able to change the version number and so he called it 1.5.1 – and so we did. 🙂

Just wanted to say thank you for this mod and for all the time and effort you and the other/former teammember put in it.
CWR2 is the best mod and one of a few reasons I’m still playing ArmA2 from time to time.

  • Sebastian on June 15, 2017 at 00:41 said:

Also wanna thank you guys for your hard work!
Been playing this mod for a lot of years now, still playing it today.

Wish this mod was a standalone so I could happily pay for it 🙂

  • Henning on March 5, 2018 at 23:33 said:

Haven’t yet played your mod, but I’m downloading it(and ARMA 2) at the moment. I was a huge fan of the original Operation Flashpoint and really looking forward to be playing your mod.

Many thanks and respect for the work you obviously put into this amazing project!

  • Kalle on May 9, 2018 at 06:28 said:

Thank you for providing the ArmA community such a high quality mod and lots of content! This mod is one of the reasons I still play ArmA 2 and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys this game! Big thanks, I wish all the best for you.

This mod is simply a piece of art. It is like a whole new game. Many thanks for the fantastic work.

  • Ethan on July 12, 2018 at 17:35 said:

Do you have an all-in-one download that has the base mod and all the other expansions included? Idk if I’m just not seeing it or there isn’t one. If not would verrrryy much appreciate an all-in-one file if possible.

    • W0lle on July 21, 2018 at 21:36 said:

You have to download the files one by one. It makes absolutely no sense to pack everything in one giant package and upload it.

  • GeorgRavioli on September 12, 2018 at 15:14 said:

Found a small bug with the USMC expansion pack. The ERDL Rifle Squad has wrong classnames, I think just the Squad Leader and Grenadier.

    “cwr2_Marine_ERDL_M1955_ERDL_M1955_SL” should be “cwr2_Marine_ERDL_M1955_SL”, and

    “cwr2_Marine_ERDL_M1955_ERDL_M1955_GL” should be “cwr2_Marine_ERDL_M1955_GL”.

I want to thank the authors for the great mod. He is beautiful, without a doubt. One of the top three for Arma2, IMHO. However, if you said about soon updates, it is time to report something about the progress. Something went wrong? Waiting is delayed…

    • W0lle on March 25, 2019 at 22:24 said:

Yes, the update is delayed for several reasons. Life is the main reason and boy it sucks sometimes. 🙂
What’s left to do is mostly polishing and other minor things. It will be out soon, whenever that will be. This year for sure lol

  • ZeraphX on April 3, 2019 at 19:22 said:

Thank you so much for keeping CWR2 alive!!! B-)
Just played a few missions and found some soundbugs: annoying supersoniccracks are back, chambering-sound next bullet to fire is too loud, Burst sound from M16A2 is just one “bamm” unlike CWR2 v15 “bammbammbamm” sounds. Tried with the CWR2v15 sounds.pbo – no improvement/luck. Cross fingers its just an easy-to-fix Weapon/Sound Config mismatch… btw are those vanilla or updated JSRS sounds?

    • W0lle on April 4, 2019 at 00:01 said:

As I wrote here several times: Do not use the comments for reporting any issues as I usually don’t read them, due the lack of time. For this there is a contact email you can use.
It also has been said several times not to mix old with new files, simply because it makes no sense nor does it solve any problems as you seen now.
If the supersonic cracks are annoying or not is really some sort of very personal opinion. One like it, the next one doesn’t. I will compare the chambering sound parameters with the v1.5 ones but doubt I changed anything there because there was no need for.
The M16 burst sound is indeed screwed up, will be fixed asap.
And the sounds are mostly from JSRS plus some custom ones.
